12/27 Recap: Reinhart serves sweet dish; Schaller scores as Amerks fall

 In Saturday action, Tim Schaller scored once off a game-high seven shots to earn the game's number two star as Rochester fell to Adirondack 3-2. Signed to a professional tryout contract earlier in the day, Brodie Reid scored his first goal for the Amerks and fourth of the season. Andrey Makarov made 17 saves to take the loss. The Amerks are off until New Year's Eve when they host Syracuse.



Brycen Martin earned one assist as Swift Current downed Regina 5-3. In addition to the helper, Martin also logged the first plus-three rating since his first game of the year. Martin has points in five of six December outings. The Broncos and Pats play another on Sunday.

Christopher Brown was held without a point or a shot for the second straight contest Friday as Green Bay returned from the break with a 2-0 loss to Madison. Brown has been a key player all year long for the Gamblers, leading the team with 10 goals and 21 points while playing big minutes in all situations.

In the ECHL, Colin Jacobs logged a career-low minus-four rating as Elmira was defeated by Reading 4-3. Jacobs has failed to record a point in 12 straight games for the Jackals.
