12/3 Recap: Baptiste pair guides Otters

Nicholas Baptiste scored his first two goals in an Otters uniform Wednesday as Erie downed Owen Sound 4-3.  The first-star effort gives Baptiste three points (2+1) in his first four games with Erie, and a total of 14 (8+6) for the year. Erie visits Belleville on Saturday.

In the QMJHL, Vaclav Karabacek saw his four-game goal streak come to a halt as Gatineau was closed out by Quebec 5-1. Through 26 games, the Czech winger has amassed 10 goals and 20 points for the third-place Olympiques, who get back to work Friday at Chicoutimi.

In college action, Anthony Florentino logged a plus-three rating as Providence earned a 5-1 victory at Northeastern. Fifth-year senior Mark Adams finished the night with a plus-two rating for the Friars. The two clubs play it back Saturday afternoon in Providence.
