2/20 Recap: Reinhart hits milestone

Sam Reinhart cashed a pair of goals Friday to guide Kootenay to a 4-1 victory over defending Memorial Cup champion Edmonton. The markers, one of which went into a empty net to seal the victory, make Reinhart the first ICE player to reach 300 points in his WHL career.



Elsewhere in the WHL, Brycen Martin went without a point for the second straight game as Saskatoon was defeated by Regina 4-1. Through 57 games, Martin has collected six goals and 36 points.

OHL

Nicholas Baptiste scored his 22nd goal of the year as Erie dropped a 4-3 decision at Guelph. Baptiste, who was moved to third line duty in the contest, got the scoring started with an even strength goal at 5:40 of the opening frame.



Jean Dupuy scored his 13th goal of the year as Sault Ste. Marie rolled past North Bay 7-3. Justin Bailey saw his five-game point streak snapped in the win.



Eric Cornel notched one assist as Peterborough lost to Niagara 2-1 in a shootout. Cornell has points in four straight games to elevates his season total to 46 (13+33).

NCAA

Cal Petersen made 34 saves as Notre Dame skated to a 2-2 tie at No. 2/3 Boston University. Petersen has earned starts in 13 of the last 16 games. Connor Hurley (+1) was unable to get a point for the Irish. Hurley has one point, an assist, in his last dozen games.

J.T. Compher produced one assist as Michigan was defeated by Ohio State 5-3. The helper snaps a career-long five-game drought for Compher. Dylan Larkin (DET) scored one goal and one assist while pumping a career-best 12 shots on goal at the Buckeyes net.

Christian Isackson scored his third goal of the year and eighth of his four-year career as Minnesota edged Penn State 2-1. Hudson Fasching was limited to two shots on goal in the victory.

Sean Malone logged a team-high four shots on goal as Harvard was upended by St. Lawrence 5-1. Malone has nine points (4+5) in nine games this season for the Crimson.

Max Willman (+2) earned an assist to snap his 20-game point drought as Brown toppled Princeton 4-1. Willman had point in two of his first four career games before going dry. He has three points (1+2) in 25 season appearances.

Jason Kasdorf stopped 29 of 31 shots as RPI played to a 2-2 tie with Cornell. The tie raises Kasdorf's record to 9-15-1 on the year. He has started 14 consecutive games for the Engineers.

Anthony Florentino contributed one shot on goal as Providence earned a 3-2 over Massachusetts. Friars senior defender Mark Adams finished with a plus-one rating.

Brad Navin went pointless for the sixth straight outing as Wisconsin earned a 2-1 victory over Michigan State. The Badgers have now won two straight games for the first time all season.

Judd Peterson did not factor as St. Cloud State defeated Nebraska-Omaha 4-1. The freshman has one point in his last dozen games.

AHL

Rochester got goals from Zac Dalpe (14th) and Dan Catenacci (9th) but it wasn't enough as the Amerks fell to defending champion Texas 5-2. Jake McCabe turned the puck over on the second Texas goal, but later posted an assist to give him 10 points in his last 11 games. Matt Hackett made 36 saves in defeat.


In addition to the goal, Catenacci made waves with a hit on Scott Glennie that sent the former Brandon Wheat King tumbling into the Amerks bench.



USHL

Christopher Brown (-3) was kept off the score sheet as Green Bay came up short in a 3-2 loss to Chicago. Brown has hit a wall with just one goal in his last 14 contests.

ECHL

Kevin Sundher (-1)and Colin Jacobs (-1) each scored in the shootout as Elmira edged Indianapolis 2-1.

SWE

Linus Ullmark allowed three goals on nine shots before getting the early hook as MODO fell to Linkoping HC 6-1. MODO winger Gustav Possler did not play in the loss.

Jonas Johansson stopped 20 of 22 shots to backstop Almtuna to a 3-2 win over Oskarshamn. Johansson is 3-3 with a 2.72 GAA and .893 save% since his loan to the Allsvenskan club.
