3/11 Recap: Dupuy connects as Hounds' streak halted

In Wednesday action, Jean Dupuy scored his 17th goal of the year as Sault Ste. Marie saw their 12-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 loss at North Bay.  Through 51 games, Dupuy has 43 points and a plus-34 rating. Winger Justin Bailey remained out of action with a fractured ankle.

Nicholas Baptiste notched one assist as Erie blanked Niagara 3-0. The helper elevates Baptiste to 61 points in 49 games, including an even 50 in 37 tilts with the Otters. Connor McDavid was kept off the scoresheet for the second time this season, ending his 27-game point streak. He has gone without a point just twice this season. Both times were against the IceDogs.

Brycen Martin finished with an even rating in Saskatoon's 6-4 loss to Red Deer. After posting points in 12 straight games in January and February, the defender has gotten on the sheet in just two of his next dozen.

On Tuesday, Eric Cornel finished with a minus-two rating as Peterborough was hammered by Kingston 6-2. With 52 points (14+38) in 62 games, Cornel is serving as the Petes' leading scorer. Draft prospect Lawson Crouse notched a pair of goals plus an assist for the winning side.

Sam Reinhart went without a point for the second straight game as Kootenay defeated Lethbridge 4-1. Reinhart has collected 17 goals and 58 points in 42 games, placing fourth on the ICE roster despite missing 25 of the team's contests.
