4/2 Recap: Bailey's Hounds advance

Justin Bailey finished with a plus-one rating Thursday as Sault Ste. Marie erased a two-goal deficit to earn a 5-2 win over Saginaw to sweep the first round playoff series. Bailey produced three goals in the series sweep. Jean Dupuy missed all four games with an upper-body injury sustained in the final weekend of the regular season.

Eric Cornel did not register as Peterborough was blanked by Oshawa 4-0. The Petes trail the series 3-1 with Game 5 set for Friday. Cornel has one assist in the four games,

In the QMJHL, Vaclav Karabacek saw his three game point streak snapped as Baie-Comeau was defeated by Saint John 4-2. Karabacek has collected one goal and seven points in four postseason games. The Drakkar have a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 5 takes place Saturday in Saint John.

On Wednesday, Sam Reinhart posted one assist as Kootenay was shellacked by Calgary 7-2. Reinhart has three goals and two assists in the potseason for the ICE, who trail the series 3-1. They'll look to stave off elimination Friday in Calgary.
