4/8 Recap: Bailey scores as Soo takes Guelph by Storm

Justin Bailey scored his fourth goal of the playoffs Wednesday as Sault Ste. Marie opened the OHL Western Conference Semifinal with a 7-4 victory over Guelph.

Bailey gave the Hounds a 4-1 lead in the first minute of the third period when he gained position at the side of the net and tipped an Anthony DeAngelo shot from the left point for the power-play marker. The goal gives the winger four points through postseason contests.

Two-way forward Jean Dupuy returned to the Soo lineup after missing the entire first round with an upper body injury. The game was a physical affair from start-to-finish, and Dupuy made his presence felt midway through the second period when he dropped the gloves with Storm defender Kyle Rhodes.

At the end of the game when a puck was fired towards the Greyhounds at the final buzzer, Dupuy again went on the chase, setting the table for what should be another exciting, hard-hitting affair when the teams get together Thursday for Game 2.
