Victor Olofsson got his season off on the right foot Thursday, connecting for his team's only goal as MODO opened the 2015-16 SHL season with a 4-1 loss to Orebro HK.
After OHK delivered a pair of goals in the game's first three minutes, Olofsson darted down the wing and finished off a pretty passing play at 3:23 to halve the deficit to 2-1.
Olofsson rounded out his effort with two shots on goal and a minus-one rating in top line duty. Gustav Possler recorded one shot on net while skating on MODO's fourth forward unit.
In Allsvenskan action, Jonas Johansson served as backup as Almtuna suffered a 3-0 shutout loss to IF Bjorkloven.
