9/21 Recap: Asplund lights lamp

Rasmus Asplund notched his second goal of the year Thursday as Färjestad BK skated to a 5-2 victory over Skellefteå AIK.

Asplund put FBK up 2-1 early in the middle period when he took a puck in the right circle and quickly fired a shot short side high over the goaltender's glove.

That's two goals in two regular season games for Asplund, who doesn't turn 20 years of age until Dec. 3.

In addition to the marker, Asplund posted two shots on goal, a plus-2 rating, and won eight of his 15 draws (53.3%). He earned 16:16 of ice time in the win.

Elsewhere, Victor Olofsson recorded one shot on goal as Frölunda HC dominated Karlskrona HK to post a 3-0 victory. Olofsson saw 15:40 of action for FHC, who held their opponent to just 13 shots on goal in the victory.
