10/21 Recap: Mittelstadt out; Olofsson bags winner

Casey Mittelstadt was dinged up Friday in Minnesota's win over North Dakota and did not play Saturday as the Gophers fell to the Fighting Hawks 4-0. It is unclear at this time how long Mittelstadt, who has four points (2+2) in five games, will be out of the lineup.

Elsewhere, Linus Weissbach scored his third goal of the year as Wisconsin earned the weekend split with a 4-0 victory at Northern Michigan.The freshman winger has three goals and five points in his first seven collegiate contests.

Jacob Bryson recorded one shot on goal as Providence was blanked 4-0 by Clarkson. Bryson leads the Friars with four assists in five games.

Will Borgen finished plus-1 and Judd Peterson registered one shot on goal as St. Cloud State defeated Boston College 3-1 to sweep the non-conference set.

Casey Fitzgerald pumped five shots on goal for Boston College in the loss, while top-line centerman Christopher Brown added two shots to the offense.

In Sweden, Victor Olofsson scored his second game-winning goal of the week, this time in overtime as Frölunda got past Skellefteå 3-2.

Rasmus Asplund skated for 18:59 but was held off the score sheet for the sixth consecutive game as Färjestad was defeated by Örebro 3-2.

In Finland, Oskari Laaksonen posted seven shot attempts in 22:16 of work as Ilves U20 lost to KalPa 5-2.

In the QMJHL, Vasily Glotov scored his fourth goal in his last six games as Shawinigan was doubled by Charlottetown 4-3.

In the OHL, Austin Osmanski recorded four shots on goal but saw his three-game point streak snapped as Peterborough was dropped 7-3 by Flint.

Vojtech Budik put seven shots on net as Prince Albert defeated Saskatoon 4-3 in overtime.

Brandon Hagel extended his point streak to four games by picking up one assist as Red Deer lost to Prince George 4-1.

In the AHL, CJ Smith broke the shutout in the third period with his second goal of the year as Rochester was pummeled by Utica 5-1. Brendan Guhle had a secondary helper on Smith's goal for his first point of the season.

In the ECHL, Vaclav Karabacek, Brycen Martin and Devante Stephens all were held without a point as Cincinnati was defeated by Wheeling 4-2.
