10/28 Recap: Baptiste strikes; Mittelstadt keeps pace

Nick Baptiste continued his recent spike Friday by scoring a pair of goals in the final two minutes of regulation to forced overtime as Rochester came away with a 4-3 win over Laval.


Kyle Criscuolo potted the overtime winner with his ninth shot of the night, while Sahir Gill added a single. Linus Ullmark stopped 33 of 36 shots to get the win in net. Brendan Guhle posted a pair of assists and seven shots on goal for the Amerks.

Elsewhere, Casey Mittelstadt connected for a pair of assists as Minnesota skated to a 3-1 victory over Clarkson.



Max Willman recorded one assist as Brown opened the season with a 4-1 win at Yale.


Jacob Bryson supplied three shots on goal as Providence upended Boston College 2-1. Casey Fitzgerald produced six shots on goal for the losing side, while Christopher Brown recorded two shots of his own.

Brett Murray was scratched as Penn State earned a 5-4 overtime victory over Michigan.

Linus Weissbach was unable to suit up in Wisconsin's 4-2 win over St. Lawrence.

In the QMJHL, Vasily Glotov scored his eighth goal in his last nine games as Shawinigan defeated Quebec 5-3.



In the WHL, Brandon Hagel tipped home his fifth goal of the year with 39 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime as Red Deer defeated Spokane 4-3.


Vojtech Budik sent two shots on goal as Prince Albert defeated Brandon 4-1.

In the OHL, Cliff Pu scored his second goal of the season and added a pair of assists as London blew past Flint 8-2.


Austin Osmanski logged a minus-2 rating as Peterborough fell to Oshawa 4-1.

In Finland, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 28 saves as LeKi was blanked by Keupa HT 3-0.

Marcus Davidsson skated for 9:40, winning eight of his 12 face-offs as Djurgarden IF edged Skelleftea AIK 2-1.

In the ECHL, Brycen Martin earned one assist and Vaclav Karabacek provided two shots on goal as Cincinnati defeated Ft. Wayne 3-2 in overtime.
