Persson odd man out in loss

Still feeling the lingering effects from a weekend puck to the face, Dennis Persson (2 PIM) saw just 4:59 of ice time in Timra's 3-1 loss to Brynas on Thursday. Despite being tabbed as the seventh defenseman for the contest, Persson created some heat with a solid scoring opportunity late in the second period. The 6'1 defenseman was bleeding from the nose as he left the ice in the second period of Saturday's loss to Rogle. His cheekbone was swollen and it appears stitches were required, but a quick exam after the game revealed no breaks (or dental issues).
