2/5 Recap: Schiestel keeps rolling; Ennis continues excellence

Drew Schiestel had a goal and two assists as Niagara downed Sault Ste. Marie, 5-3. The power play goal was Schiestel’s seventh of the year, while the three point night raises his career-best total to 44 over 47 games. In the WHL, Tyler Ennis scored his 26th goal of the season as Medicine Hat was doubled up by Calgary, 8-4. The goal extends his current point streak to nine games, with the Edmonton product looking to equal his previous career-high of 10 set last season when the Tigers host Moose Jaw on Saturday. In a Group E Olympic qualifier, Philip Gogulla scored a power play goal and added an assist as Germany outclassed Japan, 7-1. The Germans will now move on to face Austria.
