2/8 Recap: McNabb juggles apples

In Tuesday WHL play, Brayden McNabb (+3) extended a helping hand with a career-best tying four assists as Kootenay bested Regina, 7-4. The four-apple stacking ties McNabb's previous mark set earlier this season versus Calgary. The 6'4 blueliner, who remains the WHL's third-leading defensive scorer, has 17 points (5+12) in his last ten games and a total of 52 on the year. The Ice (35-17-1-2) return to action Friday for a rematch with the Pats.

In Edmonton, Mark Pysyk finished +2 as Edmonton came from behind to defeat Prince George, 6-5. The Oil Kings trailed 5-2 at the second intermission before uncorking four unanswered goals in the final twenty minutes. Dylan Wruck ('11) completed the comeback with his 32nd goal of the season with 1:33 to play. Pysyk has a +24 rating through 47 games this season after compiling a -19 last season in 48 contests (+43 turnaround). Edmonton (25-26-1-3) travels to Medicine Hat on Friday.

In other news, Sudbury captain Marcus Foligno is expected to miss a couple weeks of action after being diagnosed with a sprained MCL. The grinding forward, who has 21 goals and 51 points this season, should be healthy for the Wolves OHL playoff run. Foligno has been particularly effective in the 2011 schedule, notching points in ten of 12 games since returning from the World Junior Championship.
