12/6 Recap: Leduc running it up

Jerome Gauthier-Leduc extended his point streak to three games Tuesday with a goal and an assist in Rimouski's 6-5 loss to Bathurst. Leduc, whose 17 goals and 29 assists place eighth overall among QMJHL scorers, has nine points over the streak, making for the most productive three-game span of his prolific season. The Nics welcome Moncton to town on Thursday.

In WHL action, Kevin Sundher snapped a two-game schneid with a power play assist as Victoria was defeated by Tri-City, 6-2. The Surrey, BC native remains among WHL leaders with 18 goals (t8th), 27 assists (t6th), and 45 points (6th). The Royals and Americans will play a rematch on Wednesday.

Mark Pysyk saw his three-game point streak come to an end as Edmonton dumped Calgary, 6-2. Winners of seven straight, the Oil Kings will host Brandon on Thursday.

In college play, Mark Adams was even with a shot on goal as #20 Providence lost to #3 Boston College, 4-1. The Friars will now enter the holiday break with their next game coming on New Year's Day versus Brown.

Also of note, Cedrick Henley missed his third game with a broken thumb as Val-d'Or downed Rouyn-Noranda, 5-2.
