Jacobs helps T-Birds in shootout

Colin Jacobs scored in the shootout Tuesday as Seattle earned a 4-3 victory over Kelowna. The big center scored with his usual slow approach to help the T-Birds to their second win in their last 10 tries. Seattle returns to play on Friday against Tri-City.



Nathan Lieuwen made 26 saves but was beaten high glove side with :08 left to play as Kootenay dropped a 4-3 decision to Brandon. Kevin Sundher did not factor into the scoring for the Wheat Kings. Brandon gets back at it Wednesday versus Lethbridge. The ICE will next host Spokane on Friday.

Mark Pysyk logged a +1 as Eastern Conference leader Edmonton lost to Western Conference leader Kamloops, 3-2. The Oil Kings travel to Kelowna on Wednesday.
