9/19 Recap: Peterson on board in RoughRiders romp

Judd Peterson scored a goal Wednesday as Cedar Rapids opened the 2012 USHL Fall Classic with a 7-1 throttling of Des Moines. Peterson, who now has four goals in four preseason games, will return to action Thursday when the RoughRiders take on Lincoln.

Joel Armia recorded five shots in 17:39 of work as Assat dropped a 6-0 decision to Karpat. The Aces opened the year with a pair of shutout victories over the weekend but were grossly outshot by a 67-34 margin to take the season's first defeat. Assat will resume play Saturday against HPK.
