11/20 Recap: Nelson gets helper; Makarov yanked

Andrey Makarov allowed four goals on 26 shots through two periods of play Tuesday as Saskatoon was defeated by Victoria 5-2. Likely fatigued after receiving a heavy November workload, Makarov was relieved by creasemate Alex Moodie for the final 20 minutes. Makarov had entered with a two-game winning streak. Logan Nelson assisted on the second Royals goal, giving him 22 points (6+16) after 23 games, the second-highest total on Victoria's roster.

Elsewhere, Colin Jacobs went without a point as Prince George edged Regina 4-3 in a shootout. Historically an ace breakaway performer, Jacobs watched as four of his Cougars teammates completed the shootout victory. Jacobs had missed his previous two attempts.
