William Carrier sat out with a lower body injury as Drummondville doubled Victoriaville 6-3. Carrier was rumored to be questionable hours before faceoff, and so the apparent lower body issue will likely leave him day-to-day. The victory gives the Voltigeurs a 2-1 lead in the first round tilt with game 4 set for Wednesday in Victoriaville.
In regular season action, Andrey Makarov made 33 saves to earn the game's number two star as Rochester continued their late season slide with a 3-1 loss at Toronto. The start was Makarov's first ever in the AHL. Kevin Porter scored the lone Amerks goal, with Johan Larsson drawing the only assist. The Amerks will look to snap a seven-game losing streak Wednesday versus Milwaukee.
