3/30 Recap: Fasching Philly bound; Petersen posts milestone

Hudson Fasching produced three shots on goal Sunday as Minnesota advanced the 2014 NCAA Tournament Frozen Four with a 4-0 shutout of St. Cloud State. Fasching has helped key the Gophers' run to the Frozen Four, showing good defensive awareness down the wing while using his size and speed to create traffic in front of the opposing goal. The Gophers face North Dakota on Thursday, Apr. 10 at 8:30 pm (ESPN2).

Cal Petersen stopped 30 of 32 shots to earn his 50th career regular season victory as Waterloo edged Green Bay 4-3. The victory vaults the Black Hawks ahead of Indiana into the first overall position in the USHL with two games left on the schedule. Connor Hurley scored a late goal for the Gamblers, who with the loss sit one point out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot entering the final weekend of play.
