10/22 Recap: Schaller pots pair; Lemieux lights lamp

Tim Schaller notched a pair of goals Wednesday to earn the game's number one star and Zac Dalpe bagged the game-winner to guide Rochester to a 3-2 victory over Rockford. Joel Armia made a nice steal for an assist and registered a team-high six shots on goal, while Nathan Lieuwen made 21 saves to earn the victory. Mark Pysyk and Phil Varone added single helpers. Next up for the Amerks is a Friday tilt with Adirondack.



In the OHL, Brendan Lemieux scored his seventh goal of the year as Barrie was smoked by Owen Sound 6-1. Lemieux's marker gives him seven goals and 12 points in 10 games. He now has points in three straight contests. The Colts visit Kingston on Friday.

In WHL action, Brycen Martin played in all situations as Swift Current scored with 14 seconds left to get past Portland 5-4. The Broncos host Regina on Friday.

In Sweden, Victor Olofsson scored the game winning goal in the shootout as MODO edged Farjestads BK 3-2. Linus Ullmark made 28 saves for his second win of the season. Gustav Possler went without a point while earning 20:52 of work. MODO faces Lulea HF on Friday.
