11/20 Recap: Cornel keeps pace

Eric Cornel (-3) picked up an assist Thursday as Peterborough lost to Sault Ste. Marie 7-3. The helper maintains Cornel's point-per-game pace with 19 (6+13) in as many games. The 6-foot-2 winger will look for his three-game point streak of the year on Saturday when the Petes take on Brendan Lemieux and the Barrie Colts.

Nick Baptiste (-1) was blanked as Sudbury surrendered three third-period goals in taking a 3-0 loss at North Bay. Baptiste has gone without a point in five of the 11 contests he has played in thus far for the last-place Wolves. Sudbury will look to improve when they complete the home-and-home series with the Battalion on Friday.

In the NCAA, Connor Hurley finished with one shot on goal and a plus-one rating as Notre Dame was defeated by UMass-Lowell 3-1. Cal Petersen served as backup for the Fighting Irish, who look for the conference split Friday on home ice.

And in case you missed it, the Sabres' MODO prospects did their thing in a shutout victory over Linkoping.
