12/18 Recap: Cornel dazzles as Petes fall short
Eric Cornel notched two assists Thursday including one for the highlight reels early in the third period as Peterborough fell to Belleville 5-4. The second star effort elevates Cornel to 28 points (8+20) through 30 games for the struggling Petes, who continue to battle while two of their top players, Nick Ritchie (ANA) and Dominik Masin (TBL), are away at World Junior camps. Cornel will look to maintain his production on Friday when Peterborough visits Kingston.
