Eric Cornel scored a goal and an assist Thursday to earn the game's second star as Peterborough captured a 6-5 victory over Erie. Cornel's first multiple point game since Dec. 18 and 10th of the year gives him an even 35 points (11+24) through 43 contests. Otters forward Nicholas Baptiste supplied a goal for the second straight game, upping his production to 17 goals and 36 points in 33 appearances between Erie and Sudbury.
In the QMJHL, Vaclav Karabacek (-1) fired four shots on goals as Baie-Comeau lost at Charlottetown 5-1. Karabacek has two goals and four points in his first nine outings with the Drakkar, and 29 points (13+16) in 40 total games this season.
