2/25 Recap: Baptiste, Reinhart produce in wins

In Wednesday action, Nicholas Baptiste scored his 24th goal of the year and added three assists as Erie pounded Guelph 8-4. Baptiste now has goals in four straight games. Baptiste's third-star effort boosts him to 50 points in 43 games. Draft stud Connor McDavid scored four goals and six points to earn the game's first star. It was McDavid's first-ever OHL hat trick.

Sam Reinhart notched one goal and one assist to earn the game's first star as Kootenay got past Regina 5-4 in a shootout. Reinhart has points in six straight games to elevate his season totals to 16 goals and 38 assists.

Brycen Martin logged a plus-two rating as Saskatoon skated to a 6-2 victory over Swift Current, Through 60 appearances this season, Martin has collected seven goals and 37 points.

In the AHL, Brayden Irwin potted a pair of markers and Jerome Leduc scored for the second straight game to help Rochester to a 4-3 victory over Syracuse. Zac Dalpe added his 16th goal of the year, while Matt Hackett made 27 saves to earn his second consecutive win.
