3/31 Recap: Reinhart strikes; Karabacek cranking

In Tuesday action, Sam Reinhart scored a pair of goals and added an assist to earn the game's third star as Kootenay dropped a wild 8-7 overtime decision to Calgary. Reinhart has four points (3+1) through three playoff games as the ICE find themselves in a 2-1 series hole. Game 4 goes down Wednesday in Kootenay.

Vaclav Karabacek notched his first goal of the playoffs and added two assists as Baie-Comeau edged Saint John 6-5. The victory gives Baie-Comeau a commanding 3-0 lead in their first-round playoff series. Karabacek has seven points (1+6) in the three victories for the Drakkar, who will look to use the brooms Thursday in Saint John.

Eric Cornel picked up one assist for his first playoff point as Peterborough earned a 3-1 victory over Oshawa. The Petes now trail the Eastern Conference quarterfinal 2-1. Game 4 is Thursday in Peterborough.

Justin Bailey was unable to produce as Sault Ste. Marie blanked Saginaw 4-0. Bailey, who collected three goals in his first two playoff tilts, will look to get the knack back when the Hounds go for the sweep Thursday in Saginaw. Soo forward Jean Dupuy remained out of the lineup with an upper body injury.

Nicholas Baptiste (-2) was held off the scoresheet as Erie clawed their way to a 4-3 overtime win at Sarnia. Baptiste has one goal and one assist through the first four games of the postseason. Dylan Strome ('15) cashed the game-winning goal at 10:35 of the first overtime session for the Otters, who will take a 3-1 series lead back to Erie for Friday's Game 5.
