4/30 Recap: Baptiste bags another

Nicholas Baptiste continued his productive ways Thursday, scoring his 10th goal of the playoffs unassisted as Erie was defeated by Sault Ste. Marie 4-2 in Game 5 of the OHL Western Conference Final. Baptiste struck just 2:06 in after the Greyhounds coughed the puck up in front of their own net, but the Soo would even it up before the first intermission and then closed the game out with a two-goal third period to earn their second victory of the series.

Jean Dupuy picked up an assist on the game winning goal for the Greyhounds, giving him points in two straight games and a total of five (4+1) in nine postseason appearances. Soo forward Justin Bailey logged a minus-two rating, leaving him with one point, an assist, in his last four games versus the Otters. Bailey has seven goals and 14 points in 13 playoff contests.

The Greyhounds victory forces a Game 6 Saturday back in Erie.
