10/6 Recap: Estephan assists in victory

Giorgio Estephan connected for a pair of assists Tuesday to help Lethbridge to a 5-2 victory over previously unbeaten Red Deer. Estephan, who earned both of his helpers while on the powerplay, now has five points (1+4) through his first five games. His four-point night on Saturday was reduced to a three-point effort with one of his helpers being taken away from him following review of the game. The Hurricanes are back in action Friday at Medicine Hat. Elsewhere in the WHL, Devante Stephens registered a plus-two rating as Kelowna edged Medicine Hat 6-5. Stephens has one assist in seven contests for the Rockets, who get back to work Friday at home versus Victoria.
