Justin Kea played a solid all-around game, notching an assist and playing strong defensively as Saginaw was shellacked by Erie 7-1. The 6-foot-4 forward has a goal and seven assists through the Spirit's first 13 games. Erie's 15-year old sensation Connor McDavid picked up an assist to extend his point streak to 12 games.

Also from the OHL, Brady Austin played even as Belleville was drilled by Mississauga 6-1. Austin was on the ice for two power play goals against and another even-strength marker to finish the night with a -1 rating. Losers of two straight, the Bulls next take the ice Saturday at home versus Kingston.

Colin Jacobs did not score as Prince George defeated Spokane 4-2. The Cougars welcome Brandon to town on Saturday.
