12/2 Recap: Compher cashes pair as Wolverines sweep

J.T. Compher scored twice in the second period Monday to help Michigan to an exciting 5-4 win over Ohio State to complete the B1G series sweep. The rebound putbacks give the freshman pivot points in five consecutive contests, and multi-point efforts in five of his 13 collegiate games for a total of 14 (5+9) heading into Thursday's exhibition tilt with the Team USA U-18.



In Sunday OHL action, Nick Baptiste connected for a pair of assists as Sudbury defeated Ottawa 4-3. The double helping gives Baptiste a balanced 19 goals and 19 assists through 28 games. The Wolves host Sarnia on Friday.

Justin Bailey was unable to hit the score sheet as Kitchener was blanked by North Bay 4-0. The Williamsville, NY native has nine goals and 19 points through 26 games. The Rangers return to work Wednesday at Owen Sound.

In the USHL, Judd Peterson was minus-one as Cedar Rapids dropped a 3-1 decision at Indiana. The St. Cloud State commit has nine goals on 30 shots this season for a 30% shooting percentage. The RoughRiders host Green Bay on Friday.

In the ECHL, Jonathan Parker saw his three-game point streak snapped as Colorado lost 3-2 at Ontario. Parker has three goals and three assists in nine coast league appearances. The Eagles visit Orlando on Wednesday.
