12/4 Recap: McNabb leads Amerks; Possler returns

Brayden McNabb scored a goal and two assists Wednesday to earn the game's number one star as Rochester thrashed Utica 6-1. Kevin Porter provided a pair of goals for the Amerks, while Kevin Sundher, Chad Ruhwedel, and Kevin Sundher added singles in a span of 2:11 at the start of the third period to put the game away. Matt Hackett stopped 25 of 26 shots to earn the victory. The Amerks visit Grand Rapids on Friday.



In Sweden, Gustav Possler returned from his eight-game absence and picked up an assist off a nice cross-ice feed as MODO dropped a 3-2 decision to Frolunda. Linus Ullmark made 27 saves in defeat, but maintains the top spot among SHL netminders with a .942 save%. MODO travels to Leksands on Friday.

In the OHL, Nikita Zadorov (+1) and Brady Austin (-2) were each held without a point as London edged Sault Ste. Marie 3-2. London battles Windsor on Friday.

Justin Bailey (-1) was unable to connect as Kitchener lost to Owen Sound 5-3. Cheektowaga, NY native Frank Hora ('14) posted a pair of helpers for the Rangers. Next up for Kitchener is a Saturday date with Saginaw.

In ECHL play, Jonathan Parker recorded two shots on goal as Colorado downed Orlando 3-1. The Eagles are home against Florida on Friday.
