Draft stuff: Reinhart, Ekblad keep pace

Sam Reinhart kept his post-World Jr. momentum going Saturday, notching a goal and two assists to lead Kootenay to a 4-2 victory over Lethbridge. The smart centerman has collected 11 goals and 26 points in 10 games since re-joining the ICE following his trip to Malmo, upping his season totals to 27 goals and 76 points through 43 outings.

We discussed Reinhart on Wednesday's edition of Roby radio, and one of the things mentioned was how he always knows where his teammates are, especially when getting the puck quickly out of his zone. His second helper, which resulted from him taking the puck on the right boards and firing a spinning backhand pass across the ice to spark the transition game, further proves that point.

In the OHL, Aaron Ekblad produced a goal and an assist as Barrie pounded Ottawa 7-3. Ekblad has 18 goals on the year, with 14 of them coming on the power play thanks to his booming right-handed shot. The marker was Ekblad's third game winner of the year.
