In Monday KHL preseason action, Alexander Kisakov and Nikita Novikov each went without a point as Moscow Dynamo earned a 2-1 victory over Admiral Vladivostok.
As Dynamo iced a young roster to better evaluate, Kisakov (#38) stood out with his speed and determined play to show glimpses of the skill set that made him attractive to the Sabres at the draft.
With the win already in the bag, Kisakov was tabbed to begin the three-on-three overtime and nearly created a goal on the first offensive zone sequence.
Novikov saw a regular shift in the victory and appears to be trending to stick with the KHL club when the regular season begins.
We'll give Nikita Novikov #74 a little air time, too. Left-shot D playing the right side. Novikov has gotten more comfortable in each of three preseason games I've watched thus far. Nothing too wild here, just a flavor sample. He's a big boy that likes bumping bodies. pic.twitter.com/O9jxB7alwT
