11/14 Recap: Adam marks; Possler on mend

In Thursday action, Justin Bailey finished minus-one as Kitchener was blanked by Sarnia 5-0. Sting winger Nikolay Goldobin (2014 draft) scored his 11th goal of the year in the victory. The Rangers, who have won just once in their last 10 tries, host Owen Sound on Friday.

Brady Austin tied a career high with three assists as London handled Ottawa 5-3. The Knights continue their three-game weekend Friday at Kingston.

Nick Baptiste (-1) was kept in check as Sudbury was dealt a 7-1 loss at Barrie. Draft eligible forward Brendan Lemieux potted a hat trick to pace the Colts, while highly-rated 2014 prospect Aaron Ekblad netted an assist. The Wolves host North Bay on Friday.

In Sweden, Gustav Possler (knee) missed the week's two games as MODO skated to pair of wins over Orebro (Tuesday) and Brynas (Thursday). Linus Ullmark served as backup for both contests as MODO's two-game goalie rotation continues, meaning that he should get the start Saturday when MODO hosts Skelleftea. It remains to be seen if Possler will be ready to go then.

On Wednesday, Luke Adam scored a pair of goals, and Joel Armia fired three shots on goal in his professional debut as Rochester earned a 3-1 victory at Hamilton. Adam's double helping gives him 11 goals through the Amerks' first 13 games. Phil Varone opened the game's scoring with his fourth of the year, giving him points in 11 of 13 outings. Matt Hackett stopped 26 shots to get the win. The Amerks visit Utica on Friday.

On Monday, Patrick Kaleta scored a shorthanded goal and Matt Hackett made 28 saves as the Amerks lost a 2-1 shootout decision to Lake Erie.
