4/6 Recap: Reinhart scores as ICE eliminated

Sam Reinhart (+2) scored his sixth goal of the playoffs Monday but it wasn't nearly enough as Kootenay was rolled by Calgary 6-2 in Game 7 of their WHL Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

With the ICE trailing 4-0 late in the second period, Reinhart forced a turnover near the Calgary crease and seconds later tipped a Cale Fleury point shot into the back of the Hitmen net. Reinhart captured nine points (6+3) in the exciting seven-game stanza.

The loss to the Hitmen marks the end of Reinhart's WHL career. In 250 regular season contests, the playmaking pivot produced 120 goals and a franchise-best 319 points. He added another 35 points (13+22) in 36 playoff games.

With Reinhart's season complete, he is now eligible to be assigned to the NHL or AHL. The Buffalo Sabres have two regular season games remaining on their schedule, while the AHL's Rochester Americans have six games to play before ending the year April 19.
